The first and foremost important thing to consider at each and every step of the entire web design process is the User Experience, or UX. If this is kept as a priority, it’ll be easy to design/create a website that is user-friendly.
A common mistake web designer often makes while designing is to focus more on the aesthetic view of the website and skipping the comfortability level for a visitor. With this you end up with a site that might be pleasing to the eyes, but difficult to process - leaving your visitors frustrated. As a result, it’s unlikely they will choose to revisit your site.
However, this doesn’t mean that if you want a user-friendly website then it has to look unappealing and unattractive. If you’re confused on how to create a visually pleasing web design, then this guide has just what you need to answer all those questions!

Here are a few tips to remember while creating/designing a perfect website:
Limit the Use of Fonts
If you’re going with the saying “the more, the merrier” you might want to rethink that idea here. The point is to make it look representable and appealing to the user. With more fonts the page just looks messy and haphazard. There are too many things in view that make it look distracting - which will eventually cause your visitors to run away as they will find it difficult to concentrate enough to remember what they really came for.
All you need to do is play with a maximum of 3 fonts. Choose one for your logo as that stands to represent your brand as a whole. Then you will need a separate font for your header and the body content to make sure they don’t strike out too much and are easy to read.
Navigation Made Simple
Do everything in your power to make sure this part is covered while designing your website. The easier the navigation is, the higher the chances are for your visitors to stay longer and leave with an overall satisfied experience.
Firstly, add a clickable logo to every page so that if a visitor gets confused and does not know where to go next, at least they can be redirected to the homepage with a simple tap of the logo. Any web design can be considered close to perfect if the user can easily understand how to get to where they need to be. If you succeed at simplifying the navigation on your website, consider your site golden!
Make Good Use of the White Space
White space is often looked upon as a waste of space. However, it plays a very essential role in not only giving the overall web design a clean and neat appearance; but it also allows you to bring attention to the important details on your website.
Think of it like this, if every pixel is filled with some kind of image or text - it will just end up looking very cluttered and distracting. For your users, it's frustrating to keep track of where they want to go and how to get there without losing focus on the tiny items placed haphazardly here and there. Just like that your traffic was lost to a confusing design, Poof, gone!
Color Scheming is Your New Best Friend
This doesn’t mean you have to stick to shade one color throughout the website, as that may seem boring to your users. However, similar to the font theory stated above - you don’t need to include a ton of different colors just to attract attention to different parts of the site.
An easy way is to select a color scheme and maintain a balance throughout the site using those same colors. If your logo has a primary color, then you can look into different shades or colors that compliment them without overpowering each other. With the help of some online tools you can find the colors that blend in perfectly with the theme of the web design you chose to embrace.
